Keeping Pet Turf Clean
Pet turf maintenance is genuinely simple, but it is not zero. Pick up solids the same way you would on a natural lawn. Hose the area down once or twice a week in warm weather so urine flushes through the base rather than drying in the infill. Brush the fibres upright with a stiff broom every few weeks, especially along your dog's favourite run lines.
For a deeper clean, a diluted enzyme cleaner breaks down any organic residue without damaging the fibres. Avoid harsh solvents and pressure washing at close range. If you would rather not do any of it, our turf maintenance service covers periodic deep cleans and re-grooming.
The Honest Bit: Heat in a Canberra Summer
Synthetic turf gets hotter than natural grass in direct summer sun, and any installer who tells you otherwise is not being straight with you. On a 35 degree Canberra day, unshaded turf can be uncomfortable for paws in the middle of the afternoon.
